Japan And Scooters
My lust for them
Since 2005
Ever since my first Japan trip, I have been enfatuated with the scooter industry and even more so in love with the idea of having one, that dream was met last Tuesday when I became an owner of a 2006 Roketa 150cc motor scooter.
I am more than happy with it, in fact I am tempted to open a scooter shop and sell all the sexy imports I loved in Japan like the Honda Forza, Yamaha Majesty or Grand Majesty, the Suzuki Skywave is my ULTIMATE favourite [A.K.A. Suzuki Bergman] and Also the T-Max by Yamaha. These Scoots were dime a dozen in Nihon, And custom by the tens of thousands there, and in the bigger city like Shinjuku or Shibuya, the Scooter Clubs could be seen strolling around or lounging while showing off their stuff.
So now you finally know, you know my reasoning and lust after these machines and where it all started for me. Not to mention that 80 MPG on a 2.2 Gal tank, you can go many a far place. :) Today I did about 102 Miles and went through some iffy weather. The wind gusts were 40+ Knots with mild turbi. I should write that experience later, it was a good one.
How about viewing some of these custom scoots from Japan, and then you can see where my love for the scooter hath begun. :)
