Autumn, etc.

(I'm feeling cheerful)

Well, autumn is here, and with it come some great holidays. One of those holidays is halloween, which is among my favorite holidays, largely because of my interest in the paranormal. I have a strong belief that the spirits of those who have passed on are always around us, and that spirits are everywhere. To me, halloween is great because it brings the paranormal into greater focus than at any other time of year, but, as I just stated, I believe that the spirits of the dead are always around us. I also very much enjoy decorating for halloween, and it's always interesting to see some of the halloween decorations that one sees in stores around this time of year. When it comes to ghosts/spirits, I believe (as many other believers in the paranormal do) that ghosts are most active a few days after, during, and before new and full moons, as the new and full moons affect the electromagnetic field of the earth, allowing spirits to be more active than at other times (it is believed that spirits are energy, which is why many paranormal investigators measure EMF [electromagnetic fields] when investigating the paranormal). Also, when it comes to God, I am an agnostic bordering on atheism, but I still consider myself to be spiritual, just in a different way than most religious people. I am a big fan of Eckhart Tolle, who is a spiritual author who teaches how to make our daily lives more positive and with less suffering. I have one of his books, "A New Earth", which is among my favorite books. The view of spirituality that Eckhart Tolle puts forth has to do with one's state of consciousness (being more positive, less reactive, etc) and has less to do with what one believes. But anyway, that's all for now.
