boredom is the foundation of my lame behaviour

sometimes i become so bored that i start occupying myself with the stupidest shit. just now, for about 5 minutes, i dropped into a live room. (maybe for more blog material?)

i end up in a room full of people who are dull and conceited without good reason. i try to promote the video community, try to explain the re-launch a bit, try to explain my self-righteous mission to merge the two aspects of lv and expand the community into a bigger collective, but some people just can't get over themselves.

when i'm bored, i run with shit i shouldn't run with. i waste my time with brick walls or even subordinate myself in hopes of being entertained. and then i feel uber-lame after for allowing my boredom to carry me in such a direction.

anyways, i called someone weaksauce and left the room before i could get kicked. it was lame to the max but ok, time for me to see the positive:
-sometimes, there are some random (read:rad) liveshowers with some really interesting things to say
-sometimes, there are open-minded liveshowers who will take a peek at the videos on lv
-sometimes, there are liveshowers that help me respect the liveshow aspect of LV and understand that the liveshow community created by LV can be a good thing (for others)

my overall impression is that it won't work, no matter how hard i try. i mean, i think that i may be able to recruit a few (in exchange for nudes) to the video-side, but regardless, this binary is sorta un-deconstructable. haha, it kind of sounds like a couple in which each partner's needs are too different to be able to meet at some sort of reconciliation. i think "us" video-ers want real connection, real comedy, real creativity (minus the cheesy alliteration i'm providing). i think "those" liveshow-ers want to perv, to flirt, to chatter away. and here i am, trying to find that common ground of chatting/connecting that both video-making and liveshowing share. but i think the real-time aspect of liveshow is what appeals to "them" the most, and obviously, the video aspect of LV cannot replicate that in any way.

i'm just bothered because i can't stand divides because i'm convinced they don't exist. arg.

it reminds me of this literate society, in which reading becomes so paramount that no one knows how to listen to story anymore.

i'm going to read this in the morning and say to myself: damn, i should've just gone to bed.

I can't go to liveshows because they drive me up the fucking wall. I go because my friend is live and I want to chat but then there are all these other people that act like this person is more than just a person because these people are "fans". I just think it's weird because this is LiveVideo not HOllywood. Anyway, it's either people kissing ass or people trying to show ass. All in all like you said there's a lot of self absorbed idiocy that goes on in the live rooms and it's pretty annoying. Some time I want to go live just to see what happens. Doubt anyone will show maybe a couple people will but I hope to GOD if I go live I know what the hell to talk about.

By the way, I didn't mean to suggest that your efforts are for naught, or that I know everything. I think it is cool that you try to bring these two opposing worlds together, but oil and water still do not mix.

All right, this is something that has bugged me since the idea of "Live" LiveVideo. I don't see the point, other than to chat. The idea of having a "show" that lasts for how long? And, what is there to talk about really? Maybe I am just conceited, but I think if I open my mouth I ought to have something to say and I can't imagine having something to say for hours, hence the 5 minute vlog, or the 2 minute blog. The only purpose I have ever seen for the live shows is as an ultimate chat where facial expressions are a part of the conversation. With the idea of people showing their parts, it is really a disappointment.
I don't mean to be close-minded, but I also don't see any reason to re-live the invention of the wheel only because I haven't seen the invention of the wheel in a while.

Alright, I'm here..... for the nudes... word is all over live video, ya know nudes for vlogs. What a great idea... heheheh

I agree with your opinion of the live shows, there all "Hey .. Look at me Shows" I don't know if you've seen one of Greg Lyons shows but it's a love fest all his own, according to him he is the everything to everybody and lets his viewers how lucky they are to be there with him.... Hilarious!
