Chapter 3

(I'm feeling content)

The dark lord paced back and forth across the room, this was a problem if the good king Orlin got holt of the new shadowwolf before he did. Powers or not, a true shadowwolf trained well enough could beat him easily. He continued to pace back and forth obviously distracted by the news of the shadowwolf. His only hope was that the shadowwolf was still neutral. A knock on his door brought him back to the real world and he half-walked half-ran over to answer it.
Standing in the doorway was his military war general. “Your majesty? We’ve just received some good news……” he said nervously. The Dark lord raised an eyebrow at the general and he continued “sir we’ve just apprehended a carriage carrying a wolf…..” the king grew excited “Did it have nine tails?” the king asked. “no sir…the wolf was killed as we attacked the carriage.” The dark lord sighed then it cant be the shadowwolf…..shadowwolves are immortal…. He thought. “bring me the wolf that was killed” he said.
The general replied “yes sir” then ran out of the room. After a few minutes he came in carrying the pelt of a white wolf. The king gaped at the pelt “so…” he murmured “the great white wolf has finally been killed….” The general ran out of the room, leaving the dark lord gazed at the white wolf skin. The dark lord set the skin down on his dresser and strolled over to the window. For a few minutes he just stood there gazing into the night. Then the prophecy jumped into his mind and stopped him in his tracks:
And the one that protects the forest is fallen
“The one who protects the forest” his whispered aloud. He glanced at the wolf pelt. The prophecy was coming true…… he really was in danger. He raced out of the room and down to the training fields to train himself and he ordered that his army be trained as well. He ordered that every man and boy in his kingdom be put into the army
