Check Out Livevideo's New High-Quality Video Streaming Option!
(I'm feeling excited)

Hey everyone, LV Tech Support here.  Today, I'm going to show you how to use Livevideo's exciting new high-quality streaming option!  This beta browser plugin will let you stream video faster, with less pixelation.

First off, launch your Liveshow window.  You'll notice in the upper-right corner there's a new "Best" option:

screen1

Click this to start the plugin installation process.

In Firefox:

Firefox will probably give you a security prompt, saying that it prevented the website from installing a plugin.  Click the "Edit Options" button to get around this:

install2

You'll need to make sure www.livevideo.com is in the URL box, then click "Allow":

install3

Reload the Liveshow window (you can do this by closing and re-opening it).  This time, Firefox should prompt you to install a new plugin.  Click "Install Now":

install4

You'll be prompted to re-start Firefox.  Do this, then come back to the Liveshow window.  You're all set to stream with our new and improved plugin!

Please be aware that this plugin is still in beta testing, and while it should work for most users, there's a chance it might not.  If you encounter any errors, please report them via our Report A Bug page, or by leaving a comment on this blog.  The more information you can provide about your operating system and browser version, the quicker we'll be able to get things resolved.

We regret that the plugin currently only works on the Windows operating system.  The Mac OS X version is in development, and should be ready soon.

If you need to uninstall the plugin, you can do it via the Firefox Add-Ons interface.  Launch this from the "Tools" dropdown, then click on "Plugins" to pull up your plugin list:

uninstall

Internet Explorer Instructions:

After launching Liveshow, the video window will have text in it instructing you to click to install the ActiveX plugin.  Go ahead and do this:

ieinstall1

You'll be prompted with another window asking if you'd like to install the software.  Click "Install":

ieinstall2

If for any reason you need to uninstall the plugin for IE, do the following:

Open your Internet Options, and click the "Settings" button under Browser History.  In the Temporary Internet Files and History Settings window, click the "View Objects" button:

ieuninstall1

In the Download Program Files window, right-click on "Livevideo Publisher" and select "Remove":

ieuninstall2
