Finale End

(I'm feeling content)

Well...it's over. Kataang happened. Oh well. I'm not as angry or sad as I thought I'd be. But there is one thing that I know for sure. Zutara was in the show. All the lessons I made are still true. Zutara was there and will always be there. I don't care what anyone else says. It's still there.

As for another lesson. Maybe. But I will be gone from July 23rd - July 31st. I am going to San Diego for the Comic Con. So when I come back, I'll have stories galore to share. You'll hear all about it. For now, I will talk to you all later. As for another lesson, I'm not sure yet. We'll see.

Kezzoa, I beg to differ.

Zutara makes just as much "logical sense" as Kataang does. Kataang and Zutara are both classic stories. There's the friendship-turned-love thing, while Zutara is the forgiveness-redemption story. Both are equally valid romances that authors have used for decades, centuries, in their stories.

I could sit at my computer and argue with you Kataangers all day about which ship makes more sense. But in no way would it be resolved, and honestly, I'm not going to waste my time debating something that would get me flamed.

About the whole Whale Tail Island thing...it would have taken weeks to get there, WITHOUT Appa. They had Appa, which greatly reduced the time need to travel there.

And, how was Ty Lee sudden?...She didn't have any training to do, she has her style of fighting, which is probably the best, most effective hand to hand combat style of anyone in the entire show.

And as for there ever being any...real zutara in the show, as in evidence of more than a friendship, there wasn't ever any. Not once did they ever show any interest in each other in that fashion. From beginning to end, it was a no sided relationship.

Kataang on the other hand, not only makes more logical sense, but actually had massive amounts of evidence, from BOTH sides throughout the entire series.

And although I do hope they answer the question of where Ursa is, I don't think they will...maybe the movie will have some answers that the show left out?...

Sorry about that, it cut me off, you must know what I was trying to say but I'll say it anyways. they are planning to make a new series. Remember though, they are with M. Night at the South Pole helping him with the movies (Even more reason why the movies should be good) so this may take some time. Who knows though, we'll have to see! :)

Just to clear some things up about the whole, Mai appearing out of no where. Remember that would have been many more days than just the day after that whole thing.

I just realized something, in The Southern Raiders it took them but a week to get to Whale Tail Island. In the episode, I think it was Lake Loigi...I suck at the spelling, just bare with me please. Well, anyways, it said it would take them a long time to get there as it was almost back at the south pole. So, that was just a little mistake they made. I'm wondering if anyone else noticed that, did you?

Anyways, back to Mai. Ty Lee was more sudden than Mai, I mean what about all the things she has to do, coronation? Training? More sudden then Mai if you ask me.

I think they are planning on making another series, in fact I'm 98% sure that they will. This is because I read an interview saying they have many ideas, it's all just the basics, not releasing major information yet, but yes, they are planning to make a new s

dude, i don't think that's the end, i mean wtf, you show zuko asking where his mother is, then you end it? that's just wrong. and there were a lot of sudden things in the finale anyway, like wtf? where did this lion turtle come from? how did katara suddenly stop being confused about her feelings in like, 1 day? AND WHERE THE FREAK DID MAI COME FROM!? Ugh, still frustrated.

Neondreams, The note was she was blushing looking away and smiling. I agree that doesn't mean she was head over heals in love with Aang at that point however when put in context to statements she mentioned later. "I'm confused." It makes perfect sense that it did arouse something in her that she was unsure how to deal with.

Now let me yet again dispell any notion that I am a hard core katanger. I'm not. I am a die hard Maiko fan. This being the case I feel no overwhelming desire to try to explain katara's unknown feelings. Zuko on the other hand expresses a large amount of guilt later on and a small amount of compassion in Crossroads but other than that the only thing that really passed between them were some opertunities for a strong friendship at best and a ton of hatred and anger. So yes. There was something there. It was a chance at STARTING something but nothing more than that ever existed. IMHO. And thank you for not being Fanatical and being willing to listen.

Mystchevious, I see your point; you can ship whatever you want. And that storyboarded evidence is simply a note that Katara was blushing and looking away. Not every blush equals romantic interest.

Just because something didn't work out in the end doesn't mean that it wasn't there. Even Mike and Bryan admitted that Zutara has had "some sparks". Come on, if the shows biggest Kataangers will admit to it then it must be true!

Well NO DUH mystchevious! You could tell from the beginning, ain't nuthin shockin! What I'm mad about iz tha ending, you DON'T leave the ending with a cliffhanger, you answer all the viewers questions, like where's Zuko's MOM!

I completely disagree with Godsdaughter. Look just because you are a fan of a shipping pair does not mean sqaut. The only thing that may have changed as far as the story goes would have been a deeper exploration of the stories and lands and possibly a more graphic depection of combat. ie. warriors wouldn't knock everyone out while benders made people disapear. Mai and Zuko were perfect for each other. Her temperance to his passion fits perfectly. She understood him better than anyone save his uncle. So your argument really holds no water. As to Katara's reaction to Aangs kiss it was ambiguous BECAUSE Nick wanted to leave things in the air. The storyboarders have evidence that Katara was supposed to be blushing and smiling after the first kiss. I'm fine with you shipping any pairing you want but cannon is cannon for a reason. And that reason isn't because the network forced the writers in a certain direction. It's because that's what was planned all along.

I agree with Godsdaughter. Aang never seemed to have a problem with killing the Firelord before.
Not to mention what would have happend if the turtle never showed up? Everything worked out very coincidentally in the end, however that doesn't always happen. It was a cute little message for the kiddies, but it did seem just kind of thrown together at the end.

Lol, I was having a disscussion with my friend about the Maiko and Kataang relationships. Both relationships tend to be "Give Give" instead of "Give Take", what message is that sending the kiddies?
