(If you didn't read my previous blog yet, it would probably be better to read it before this one.)

Well, my son had a great time last night!  He stayed for the full two hours, found lots of his friends there, danced so much he got all hot and sweaty, AND he says he wants to go to the next dance, too!  I was so happy to hear all of that!  :-D

There was a DJ there who took requests, and some of his favorite songs were played.  Most people didn't dance with a partner, they just danced with the whole group (which sure makes things easier at that age.)  Kids were singing along to the music, and sometimes all dancing in unison (like to one song that shouted out the dance steps).  There was a disco ball and flashing colored lights.  There were a lot of kids, including a lot his age, but it still wasn't too crowded.  And the music was loud but not deafening (you could still talk if you spoke loudly enough).  So I'm really pleased.  Lucas hasn't shown much interest in dancing, so I was afraid it would be boring to him.  =)
