Friends List

I have a question? I need to see from someone else`s perspective. If I left only the people that i communicated with on a regular basis on my friends list. I would have 25 to 35 people on there.I have a number that is larger than that.Why would I start deleting people off that list,why would I care if it reached 10,000 how does it hurt me to have alot of people on that list? I`ve never given it much thought but I can`t seem to find a reason to start randomly deleting the people that I have not had much communication with.

I mean really if the "friend`s list" represented our real friends what kinda number would we have then?

Why does it exist at all? why do we need a friends list? LOL I`ve seen this a few times were people get 300 or 400 on the friends list and start deleting when they are done they have 20 less ? Now they can keep up! lol j/k

Im writing this out of pure CURIOSITY.... Maybe this is something I need to do and I just haven`t known the reason? Maybe it will make life easier here at LV? Just searching for knowledge here?

well due to the current circumstances i am finding it necessary to purge my list VERY deeply... so that will leave me with but a handful. but it's not the numbers that matter, it's the quality of people that count the most.

It's beyond me I was unfriended because of this same thing. Friends to me is it's someone you normally agree with someone you subscribe too and enjoy their bulletins, not someone you send e-mails or private messages to, their just someone you enjoy watching. Anyone unfriends me and I automatically unsubscribe . If were not friends I'm sure they don't want me hitting there vids or watching them for that matter.

I will only be unfriended once, then their unwatched and forgotten. That's the rules .... Great Blog Murf!

I just joined livevideo and was thinking the same thing about the friend list. I have one real friend on the list and the others have been random add ons. Good points have been made for not deleting. When I reached 5 friends and deleted 2, one of the deleted invited me again. I added him again only to get blocked by him a day later. I guess he wasn't too happy about being deleted. I guess my only suggestion is, if you are adding the person, then make an effort to communicate; otherwise, its just a list of viewers.

The more people on your friends list, the more in the pool to watch your videos.

The more people on your friends list, the more to read your bulletins.

The more people on your friends list, the more LV news you'll learn from their bulletins.

If you don't want to network on LV, and don't want folks to watch your videos...why are you here? Not you, Murf...the general "you".

It costs nothing to have a million friends!

And you never know when one of those strangers on the list turns out to be a real friend over time. This has happened to me... I didn't expect to make real friends here, but I did...a special added bonus because I accepted their friend request.

I always see some new video delight when I look at the friends channels. I don't always comment- there's just not enough time... but I do watch.

I dont think it really matters how many people are on your list. You talk to the people you normally would regardless of how many people are on a "Friends" list. The only reasons I can think of for deleting anyone are as follows...

1-they've done something to you or to someone you are friends with.
2-they send you a ton of random group requests or "watch this cool video" (I hate that)
3-they're spamming the bulletin. There are chat rooms and email, (no need to talk through the bulletin. All that does is push down the rest of my real bulletins. )

I think thats it for now. So basically unless they've done something or are doing something wrong, what does it hurt to leave them on a list most people never look at anyway...

I don't quite understand it either Murf. I'm honored by the people who took the time to friend me. Maybe I don't talk with them on a regular basis but I sure consider them friends.
