Frustrations

(I'm feeling cranky)

Ok, so I woke up this morning at about 7pm. Few hours earlier than I wanted to, but then I'm in the process of backflipping my sleep schedule from the DG trip. Didn't have much trouble doing it going up there, just popped something to keep me up for a day or so and drove. Didn't work coming home. Anyway, I digress.

So I get out of bed and decide it's time to upload another video, then I can start some editing on the DG videos I took and hopefully be able to upload them sometime next week. Fire up the computer and go back to watching Ice Road Truckers, give it some time to boot up. Come back to it and it's got a stock-ish desktop and a message saying there was an error and it couldn't load my desktop. Fucking Vista, ok. So I go into the users folder and transfer all the stuff from my folder to Jasper23's old folder, and restart with the hopes of being able to log in under his name and see my shit. No dice. Something didn't copy right, and now the computer won't start at all. Not that big of a deal, all I gotta do is get back into the drive somehow and put the stuff back where it goes. Hardest part is finding someone who will let me dismantle part of their PC so I can slave my drive to theirs. I see this as just a bump on the road to the beginning of the day.

I gave up on the PC and went back to the living room, watched a few hours of TV before having to leave at 11. Around 1030 I went around back to grab the bike and bring it up to the driveway. Once I did that, something stuck out as odd, so I went back out and started it back up to start looking it over for problems. After a few minutes I realized what it was. My brakelights are out. Well, shit, I didn't want to take the truck to work. Pulled both bulbs from their little housing, neither had a broken filament. Checked the harnesses with my voltmeter and the brake circuit isn't getting ANY power. I didn't really have time to check the fuses since I'm not even 100% sure where they are on that bike, so I am just hoping that it's just a blown fuse

Now that I'm at work, I start doing my defensive driving course online. Guess what. My laptop, for some reason, won't play their videos. I HAVE to have the class done by Saturday so I can have the cert monday. Don't know why it won't play them, it just won't. Has the right plug in and everything. Guess I really do have to get the PC fixed sometime today after work or after I get up later on this afternoon.

Sometimes the minor annoyances of life are enough to make you want to rip the hair from your head. None of these are huge problems, but fuck, all 3 at once? Come on. Oh, and I have to change the oil in the bike and the truck ASAP. There's another $100 or so....man, only thing that could make this much worse is if the head of security was my relief. Wait.....he is....dammit that guy never stops talking.
