While humor can be gender specific, I don't believe that's ur intent with "funner" (or funnier). Stage "presence" and latitude to inject personality into the weather personna would tend to resonate with segments of the audience predicated on tastes & merit of content.
Other issues to note: trust, sex appeal, fantasy...and the advertiser's goal & agenda. (ie; Gerbers wants wholesomeness; while other products want to sell youth or sexual fantasy)
