How to avoid Drama on LV
(I'm feeling
blank
)
I know I just posted a blog last night, but bear with me. This will be a very informative blog and less opinionated and ranty. I am writing this nto to cause "drama" or anything but just to inform people on LV ways in which they can avoid having their names dragged into things that they don't need to be in. This is not directed towards anyone this is just observations I have made while being on Live Video
Ok let me begin.... But where?
Let me start with the premise that everyone must remember that this is the internet and it's sort of an impersonal interaction going on when you watch videos and comment on them. With that said, let me begin.
1.Comments - This is a big one I noticed, The type of comments that people leave on videos, pics, and/or profiles are a very influential factor to being involved in certain things. Be consciously aware that the comments that you post are being read by people and people have feelings. You would not want anyone to walk up to you randomly and call you ugly, fat etc.... so use common courtesy when posting comments. I know that the impersonality and anonyminity of the internet makes people think they can say whatever they please, but I mean seriously these are people on here.
Also when making video comments please respond to the video only, and please do not share your negative thoughts about the person in a rude or ignorant way. If you have a problem with a certain video such as you believe they address a person in a particularly wrong manner, please contact them via PM or leave a comment in a respectful manner telling you that you disagree with what they posted in a video. Usually if you talk to people in a respectable manner they return such respect and will not go crazy on you. Is respect a difficult concept? Even if it is on the internet?
Blogs and videos are also considered comments, if you feel as though you need to address something through a video or a blog, especially if it's a topic that brings up an emotion in you, please try not to let that emotion get to you while creating a blog or vlog, whatever the case may be.
2. "Avoiding Drama"- one thing I have noticed during my time here on Live video is that people see unfriending and blocking people that cause drama a "solution" to the issue. Personally I don't believe that is the case. When you unfriend and block that brings more attention to you, the blocker from the person in which you believe is causing the drama. If you feel as though you no longer need to be friended to an individual because you believe they are negative, please give them a reason why you unfriend them and don't block, because usually issues such as that can be resolved through talking. When talking please refer to what I said about comments. Discussion is an intergral part of communication because you communicate verbally and non verbally even if you are not in the same location as the person you are conversing with.
3. "Guilt By Association"/ Choosing sides - if two people on your friends list are having a disagreement, I find it best to stay out of it unless it actually involves you somehow. You should not block people because someone on your friends tells you to. Nor should you feel as though you are obligated to take sides and you have to defriend whoever your friend does not like.Especially if you have no previous problems with the user. I have seen many people on my friends have issues with each other and i really found it best to stay out of it and let them resolve their issues and I remained in contact with people on both sides of the argument.
One thing about me is that I am an observant person and I usually break down behaviors by leaving myself out of them, emotional agreement skews your judgement which makes it less accurate than a gut feeling. One thing everyone must consider is that we're all people on here and whether e-friends or real friends we all deserve equal respect. This is just a basic outline of how to avoid conflict and it was not inspired by any actions on LV or any one person, I just thought it should be said

Wow.. that's a lot to read. Let me help you simplify it.
1. Don't be an assbag.
2. If someone is an assbag to you, laugh at them.
Done. :)
