I finally have a moment to just breathe.

Things have been so crazy for me lately. But the babies are all better and I have a date and place booked for the wedding. The Salon is coming along very quickly. I only hope that once its up and running Emily has enough focus to keep it going. I have my doubts but she put a lot of effort into it so far.

I had lunch with my mom today. She is feeling much better than she had been. She’s starting to get her positive outlook back on life. That makes me so happy. She is the strongest person I know so seeing her lose faith in life like that was hard for me.

Joey called me a few days ago and wants to know if I’ll still let him see the babies. I told him sure, but if he keeps fucking up then at some point I’m going to have to tell him no. I tried to explain to him that once they’re old enough to remember all of these broken and empty promises then I’m going to have to put a stop to it. I don’t want him breaking their little hearts when he never shows up.

Gretta is doing great. She’s my little helper. Everything I do with the babies that she can help me with she’s right by my side doing. She’s an amazing little girl. Her energy is amazing and she’s adjusting very well to being here. Last night Cory tucked her in and I put the babies to bed, then we switched and he went to kiss the babies goodnight and I went to say goodnight to Gretta. We do this every night then meet in our room. Well Gretta asked me to sit on the bed. So I did, I asked her what she was thinking about. She told me that she wanted to tell me something but she didn’t know if it was ok. I told her she could tell me anything. At this point Cory was standing in the doorway, she asked him if she could talk to me alone. He came in and kissed her goodnight and said sure. He went to bed and she sat up and put her hand on mine and told me that she loved living here and that she loved me. She was afraid to tell me that because she didn’t want me to think that she didn’t love her mother. She’s still afraid to tell her mother. I tried to tell her that it was ok, that it was a different kind of love. I told her that I loved her to then I gave her a big hug and went to my room. Cory asked what that was all about and I pretty much just cried. That was one of the best moments of my life. I love that little girl just as much as I love my 2 babies.

Alright, I have to get going. I’m sure I’ll write again soon.
