i'm tired

(I'm feeling crying)

i'm tired of the violence
i'm tired of people killing each other
gunshots are getting old
people being pissed is getting old
i'm too soft for this s*

it's just getting annoying
the homeless poeple
people who want to be happy but aren't

i know what love is
and when i get sad like this i remember
and i reach for it

i remember how good it is
and i don't let distractions get in the way
distractions have come
especially today
it was really, really interesting
because God told me the things i needed to do
and He knew what his timing was all about,
and today i saw it

i laughed, i was shocked, i second-guessed.
but nothing swayed me from remembering.

my love had made me ever-sensitive
i wish you were here to protect me
i can do it on my own
it's just easier with you.
