Life is a precious gift, and included in this gift are friends. 

Some friends come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime.  In my younger days, I felt everyone was going to be a friend forever.  Then, as I matured, I realized what the true meaning of friendship really is.  Now, I understand that everyone will have different opinions, but to me a friend is someone whom I don't have to speak to everyday, but is always there when you need them or they need you.  Someone who for no apparent reason, will encourage you, support you, and make you see a different way when they feel you are taking the wrong path.  They are the person who will hold you accountable for wrongdoings but they will also recognize EVERY EFFORT that you have made too.

Many of us take this person for granted, or we just don't see the true purpose of what they are trying to do. Reagardless of how you might treat them, people come in to your life for a reason- to teach you something, a season- to make some memories and open your eyes a little bit wider or for a lifetime- to make memories, teach you things, support you in good and bad times, encourage you, hold you accountable, be honest with you, and love you unconditionally.  
My life has been truly blessed with the few true friends that I have made over the years. I thank them for all their love and devotion, and I want them (and they know who they are) to know that I am grateful and cherish all moments.

God has a funny  way of making you see the light beyond the cloud and the facade that people create...Open your eyes, listen to your heart and embrace those who are their to be true to you.  Keep an open heart free from malice, hatred and negativity. If the world followed those words, just maybe we would not be losing people we care about to stupid, senseless incidents that alter our lives in ways that hurt not only the individual but the people around you that you care about or love  too...

REMEMBER: Never make anyone a priority when you are only viewed as an option.  The world is made up of many others who will treat and respect you with the same priorities and standards that you regard them in.
