New Bike
(I'm feeling
calm
)
So, I bit the bullet and bought a bike!
I know, I know...for a new rider, it's the worst idea to purchase a new motorcycle. But that's the only way I could get help from my dad because he
hates
used motorcycles. I figured, if I was going to purchase new and be paying the bike off for a couple years, why not purchase one I would not grow out of, and would not get tired of! So with that said and after doing research, I got the
Kawasaki ZZR600
.
Little did I know, since I'm young, insurance was going to rape me. I haven't settled with the best price I can find yet, hopefully within the next couple of days I'll be legitimately insured (I'm currently "temporarily" insured). I'll most likely be paying what most of you pay in a year over just two/three months! With insurance and bike payments it will be quite expensive, but I can do it. I'll just ask for more hours at work or something to be comfortable.
Right now, the bike sits safely in my garage untill I get my license. On October 2, I'll legally be able to ride around by myself--that's right, motorcycle license! I'm pretty excited, and I can't wait to feel free on the open road, and just cruise around my town. But for now, I just start the bike and play with the clutch in my garage, letting it engage and roll forward, then pushing myself back, and doing it all over again. I've accomplished .1 miles doing that, haha.
I'm about to put up some pictures of the bike, as if you wouldn't know what a new ZZR looks like anyway. But when I do start riding, I'll be responsible and alert--promise.
