(I'm feeling dirty)

Project 999 phase 2

After the damage my engine sustained due to sand in the airbox I was kinda forced to take project 999 a step further as planned.
Result:

The engine is already installen now. Just have to wait for the extra parts I ordered to fully complete the project.
Spent a whole weekend working on the bike so I can test the new engine together with the powercommander 3, main exhaust pipe and ECU.
Still have to make an appointment with the dyno people to make a custom map for the PC.

I hope I'll be on the road again next week woohoo

Wait till I get to the starting procedure of this engine. The Ducati tuner I bought this engine from gave me a huge check- and todo list before I may even attempt to start it.
Most likely I'll even make a little video of the whole procedure. Can't wait to hear the engine run. The only thing I'm not sure of is if I'll have to use the stock or open muffler.

It's very sad, about the damage caused by the sand :(
but at least you've got a reason to overhaul the bike, i hope that the finished project will be the dream bike you've always wanted ;)

That is one seriously naked looking bike! I also can't help but notice the glaring absence of a super charger with boost control on the bars.
