Recently in my life... 5th - 8th July.
(I'm feeling weird)

Saturday 5th July '08:

Today was a weird day. I suppose i say this because of the weather mainly. Complete downpour and gale force winds. These winds just happened to break the pontoon at the sailing club next door to my house away from the bank.

It was very amusing to see my dad and his older friends at the club all looking puzzled and confused as it was held to the bank with just two pieces of rope. One end which was attatched to a tractor and started to move it eventually.

Whilst all of the people at the club moved indoors to stay out of the rain i decided to venture out onto the beach and take a look at the sea. The waves were pretty big and the wind was severe. I filmed this along with a few photographs to show the people who decided to stay indoors, to stay warm and avoid getting wet.  (This i found out was the smart decision, after going indoors at home later to find out just how cold and sopping wet i really was!)

Still no sign of th Ocarina i bought on thursday yet. I know it cleared customs when it arrived in Britain on Friday evening... I suppose if it's arriving with parcelforce then they don't work weekends. Oh well.

The sea always looks smaller in photographs...

Sunday 6th July '08:

Boring day. No post on sundays.
Watched the pontoon be re-attached to the bank at the sailing club. 4 men in a dinghy. People were constantly slipping on the mud. Had chinese for tea from over the road.  Went to bed.

I made it so the faces are unrecogniseable to anyone for privacy reasons.

Monday 7th July '08:

Got up and waited for postman. Waited more...and more...got up to get food (leftover chinese).....waited in window more...12:30 and still no postman....12:45...Yay! Damn it it was ordinary postman, so not yet.....checked with Parcelforce website if it was coming and went back to window (Aparrently it was)....
Soon I got bored of waiting so went on Windows Live messenger and Youtube for a bit before i realised that i hadn't been listening for the door. I haistily ran to the door to check that there wasn't one of those annoying, 'we have been but you weren't in'  notes, and the Parcelforce man was litterally just pulling up outside of the house.
So....Yay! Ocarina arrived today!
I spent the rest of the day playing it and figured out the notation system it uses quickly.

Ocarina brief definition: The ocarina is an ancient flute-like wind instrument. While several variations exist, an ocarina is typified by an oval-shaped enclosed space with four to twelve finger holes and a mouth tube projecting out from the body. Double and Triple ocarinas have more holes so to cover a larger range of over 3 octaves.

This Ocarina is a 12 hole Tenor/AltoC from STL Ocarinas in America.

Another boring day. Got up and played ocarina for a bit. Learnt how to play 'Brothers' from FullMetal Alchemist on it without mistakes.
Had to go to interview at Exeter College this evening at 18:40 and i was offered a place. Now i just need to decide whether i'm going to go there or not in September.
Had MacDonalds on the way home and decided i needed to go and ask for my job back tomorrow as i haven't got anything better to do and i could use the money.
