The animal that LV has become

(I'm feeling blank)

It's been awhile since I posted a blog and for good reason. I had nothing to talk about. but as time progresses I am witnessing a change in LV. The change has been here since the launch and it gets worse and worse. What I am talking about is not a lack of videos, but an increase of users who join this site for the chatting feature with no intention of posting videos. Don't get me wrong the live thing is cool, but what the hell happened to the video part? I mean there are people that still make videos on this site and keep their stuff up to date, but then there are people who I am subscribed to who stopped making vids all together and still come on this site. I'm not talking about people like Sabocatgirl <3 and askthetyrant who are on the site but don't really update their videos often. I'm talking about people who used to keep their channels up and used to have new content, but don't really pst stuff anymore. I mean V was a site to upload videos and have people watch and comment them, there was a community in which people became close and built friendships with people who live far away. I mean there still is a commmunity, but the vision of Livevideo has changed, it has gone more to the live side and away from the video side of things. The views of my vids have also went down. My question is what the hell LV? y are you going away from the video sharing that this site used to be to this thing you are today? I don't get it. Video views have also went down, the community of LV is getting buried in a pile of rubbish. All we see is who's live. I DON'T CARE WHO'S LIVE I WANNA SEE SOME VIDEOS! Seriously LV what are you doing to us?

I wish LV would share the front page a little more & not use it only for promoting the live channels & yes i too would like to see more vids rather than live tv. I`ve lost my appetite for making videos for now because it seems we are getting the back seat!. Gone are the days of 12,000 views! lol ....Take care people...........

Hey Dane.
I know what ya mean- views are down across the board.
But here's the thing-
LV is still a good alternative to YouTube, as I'm noticing more and more vids over there about how the place has REALLY gone to crap, much like what you're saying here. I agree that the LIVE stuff and the T&A content is swelling up, but that's, I think, the trend with all these social networking sites.

For a long time, I made videos and nobody watched, but I could give a crap cuz I loved makin' 'em. (Look at my early stuff and you'll see 10 hits, maybe 3 comments on 'em) Some of us die-hards will always be around simply cuz we love the medium, not so much the platform.

But mark my words- there will come a day when there's a site specifically for us vloggers.
