The Last Couple of Days
(I'm feeling high)
Sorry I have been busy the last couple of days... I haven't really accomplished a lot, but the last two days have been amazing in one sense....they have been musically euphoric. I have spent a good portion of the last two days accomplishing nothing but play my guitar and listen to music. Much of that time has been dedicated to Nirvana's Unplugged in New York work, the Red Hot Chili Pepper's concert at Slane Castle, Ireland, the Sticky Fingers album by the Rolling Stones, Vitalogy and Ten by Pearl Jam, Rage Against the Machine's self titled album, Fashion Nugget by Cake, and 7even Year Itch by Collective Soul. I dont know what has changed in me this last week, but I seem to be able to hear the subtleties of every song. Whether its a picking pattern I never noticed before, a trimolo that fits perfectly in the right spot of a bridge, or just a new appreciation for a song I've always liked (case and point, Better Man by Pearl Jam and By the Way by the Red Hot Chili Peppers). It has been absolutely AMAZING just letting music surround me for the last 48 hours. I haven't put down my guitar yet today. I have played just about every song on the Slane Castle set list by the Red Hot Chili Peppers

It has been an absolute blast... I've also been rocking some Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Collective Soul. I haven't felt this satisfied musically in a LONG time... I've thought about doing a video of me playing some Peppers, but I cant sing very well so.. that makes things tough... if anybody has any interest in me doing a video of one of those songs or a request of any kind... (so long as its good rock/grunge from the 70's-90's lol) let me know.... if not i completely understand and my feelings will not be hurt..lol DISCLAIMER: i will not be singing anything...if you want vocals, convince lilosh13 to come over to my house and SHE can sing :) she's an awesome singer.... thats all i got....have an awesome day!
