the truth
(I'm feeling okay)

well, livevideo chewed me up and spit me out. four shows and they told me it was over. cancelled. reasons sited were "not enough interaction with the chatters" and "not enough of a party atmosphere in the chatroom". i have been so bummed out, but the truth is, fuck them and their cool studio with absolutely no crew so you can't really use it like a real studio anyway. i can still broadcast from home. the thing that sucks is not being able to have guests on. well i could have guests on but inviting bands to my living room is a little anti-climatic. not to mention, i live in a small place. and playing videos during the broadcast is now a problem, although someone was telling me there is a program you can buy that will allow you to do that. any suggestions welcome. so yeah. i have to vent a little. i have to tell the truth to those interested. livevideo originally hired me and was supposed to pay me $100/show to do a show in their studio. they became super evasive about it and after two shows i asked about it again and was told that things had changed and they had decided not to pay anyone. the woman who originally hired me, a very cool person named Michelle, ended up leaving shortly thereafter and i was left with no one to really trust or talk to. i believe brian, who was supposedly my producer, was sneaky, two-faced and dishonest with me. i'd like to lose these negative feelings and resentment, as i realize they only poison me, but right now i can't seem to let it go. the thing is, i understand that perhaps i did not have as big of a following as some of the shows, but i just started. furthermore, no one ever communicated to me what i should be concentrating on and developing. no one ever mentioned generating a "party atmosphere" in the chatroom. what happened to the days of a producer having a desire (and indeed a responsibility?) to help and develop talent? how about a suggestion or a warning or a heads up? why have artists become so disposable? the sad thing is, i think the show was really coming along. i had 52 subscriptions and over 13,000 views in just a few weeks. this is new media. i figured it would be more open to experimentation and development, to fostering the growth of new and independent productions. but now i see it's just old school hollywood. still totally un-open to anything that is not already a huge "success". Success not defined, by the way, as something with artistic merit, but rather decided by some un-creative asshole's subjective opinion of what is "working". there. just had to get that out. SO, i will be broadcasting tomorrow night (Monday) at 7pm as usual, from the comfort of my own home. i hope you will join me and prove them wrong. The World Between ROCKS!

Your so right tho and fuck them they wouldn't know talent and a great show if it showed up right in front of them and apparently so. Keep on going girl and if you ever need any assistance I would be honored to help you out on the show. Peace out.
