The Visitor
(I'm feeling hungry)
Robert C came up from Busan to stay overnight yesterday. We went out to Beer Mart (a bar that's kind of like a really nice convenience store... but not... hard to explain) then over to the WA Bar, a regular place where you just pull the bottle you want out of the big ice bin in the middle of the counter. Rob drank a lot, but I only drank a couple Hoegaardens at each place, and that was enough. This morning, we rode his brand new (gorgeous) 1300cc Yamaha to the hardware store to pick up nuts and bolts for the lock hasp I put on my helmet case, but we decided to ride around town a little afterwards. We ended up out at Bulguksa, the most famous Buddhist temple in Korea. It's rather commercialized, and since it was Sunday, there were a lot of people. I don't know how the monks cope with so many noisesome visitors every day. On the way back, we went by the lake and the resort area. It was a nice ride, and it was a beautiful day. Because I had forgotten to grab my camera (I hadn't expected on going anywhere besides the hardware store), I bought an $8 (!) disposable camera at the temple and took a few shots. Once I get those processed, I'll scan them into the computer and maybe put a few up here in the photo section.
