Tweety Bird

Tweety Bird
(I'm feeling
nostalgic
)
I had been dreaming of having my very own write-up be published in my BLOG page. But it was a bit hard getting the courage to start one; express myself, my views on matters concerning faith in God, life, happiness, and little things that may have done great in my life. I was also wondering. What do I gain if I share my ideas? Will it be worth reading? Can it bring joy to the readers, can I give a point to ponder, can be my quotes be quotable? Or my write-up will only be a plain composition of words but nothing worthy is conveyed?
One day I found this quote while surfing the net, “Dreams come true only when you quit the dreaming part of it” it struck deep into my consciousness. Then the memories of my childhood came rushing like a wild river in my mind.
I remember my grandpa brought me gift, a little bird in a cage. I was dearly happy, but was wondering much about the little bird in the cage. So I asked my grandpa about my thoughts; it was quite a bothersome for a child I was. “Grandpa, can this little bird fly?” I asked. Grandpa smiled and said “How will you know if it is in the cage? Let it go then!” Then little girl did what his grandpa said. Hahaha, guess what? Yes, truly, the little bird can fly. And the little girl started crying, not very happy to know the answer to the question that was bothering her. Oh silly me, I cried nearly an hour, until my grandpa bought me another little bird.
Well, quite a short story? Memories of childhood can be of great help in dealing with our present challenges. Right huh? I guess yes, it did help me. Now I’m writing, expressing what’s in me!
I Thank you for giving time reading my first ever write-up. I hope that in my little way I made you smile, because of my story or maybe because of my faulty grammar. Peace!"

Sweet Eva! I liked reading your little bird story from your childhood. And I smile now ... alot ... only because of your story ... I could not find any faulty grammer to smile at. Keep on writing ...even about the smallest things in your life.
The most fascinating and successful authors have often written/described real events in their own lives. Then the stories become very exciting and interesting for others to read. Eva, You are a very good storyteller. Continue, please!
