The Holy Bible speaks of demons who possess people, and perform evil acts. What about modern day demons? The media and the church keep demon awareness alive. How can we be protected from demons? The absolute best defense is knowledge. The following paragraphs will discuss how to gain a better understanding of demons and what they are through educating yourself by looking no further than the Holy Bible.
The first thing you should do when you are using the Holy Bible to gain knowledge regarding demons is to pray. You should ask the Lord for enlightenment, so that you may know the truth about demons, and have help recognizing them.
After praying, pick up your Holy Bible and read. If you don't understand a passage the first time, read it again, taking into context the preceding and following verses. What didn't come to you the first time, you may come to understand after rereading the information.
The Holy Bible states that demons are fallen angels that now serve Satan. According to scripture, demons were cast out of Heaven along with their master, Satan, until Judgment Day comes. Demons despise God and everything He stands for, including His children.
In the Holy Bible, you will find that demons do have power, but it is limited. They may find strength in knowledge, have the ability to inflict physical and mental illnesses, however, they fear Jesus. They know they are subject to His great authority. The Holy Bible tells us that Jesus gave his disciples the power and authority to cast out demons, or perform exorcisms. Demons know are well aware of this fact
